Residential Garage Door Bottom EPDM Rubber Weather Seal by Clopay 9-ft.
Part Number: V2131-BK-W-9
Clopay V2131-BK-W-9

Our Clopay CLO-400 (Part number V2131-BK-W-9) garage door weather seal in a 9-ft. length is designed for use only on 8-ft. Clopay residential steel garage doors. Replace worn or cracked weather seal with this uniquely designed seal that arrives flat. Fold in half, and use the L-shaped legs to slide into the bottom retainer of your Clopay garage door. The result is a bulb shape that weatherproofs your garage, while also blocking the entry of rats, bugs, dirt and dust.

The 4-in. wide weather seal is made of black EDM synthetic rubber designed to withstand extreme high and low temperatures. Always order a weather seal 1 ft. longer than your door width to account for shrinkage and the process of cutting to fit your weather seal to the door bottom. This is easy to install on any 9-ft. Clopay steel garage door. When installed, the bulb creates a tight seal between uneven garage door floors and the door.

Installation Instructions for "Bulb" Shaped Astragal:
  1. Raise door to open position. Place “C” clamps in both tracks directly below the door and tighten.
  2. Remove old weather seal from the bottom of the door section. It may be necessary to remove screws holding weather seal to the retainer.
  3. Make a bulb shape from the flat strip of weather seal by curling the ends together. The top of the bulb will resemble a “T”.
  4. Insert “T” shape into retainer slot. See Fig 3. Slide the weather seal across the length of the door. NOTE: The weather seal will slide through the retainer slot easier if soapy water is applied.
  5. Cut off excess weather seal flush leaving two extra inches from the edge of the door. Tuck extra weather seal into itself to allow for future shrinkage. If any screws were removed, replace now.
