The 24V DC Residential Belt Drive Garage Door Opener (Model 2055-TKZV) by Genie is now available to order directly from Garage Door Supply Co. Model 2055-TKZV is an ultra-quiet belt drive garage door opener, ideal for garages attached to living spaces. The ½ HPc 24 Volt DC motor is lightweight for easier installation provides power to operate almost any residential garage door up to 7' high and 500 lbs. in weight directly from the box (or up to 8' high with the Genie 8' Door Chain Extension Kit - Item #39026R).
GenieSense™ Monitoring and Diagnostic Technology delivers the power needed for every movement of the garage door and continuously monitors the operation of the door, stopping operation when significant changes occur. GenieSense™ minimizes noise, wear and tear on the door, and improves overall safety. Intellicode® Access Security System provides superior encryption technology (also known as rolling codes) that prevents piracy of the radio signal that opens your garage door by continually seeking a new code from billions of combinations. The door opener responds to each new code only once. If an access code is copied from a working system and tried again, it will not control the door opener. Works with ALL HomeLink® & Car2U® systems regardless of when those systems were made. No additional external repeater box or compatibility bridge needed. Also compatible with Aladdin Connect™.
Safe-T-Beam® Non-Contact Reversing System puts an invisible beam across the door opening. If anything passes through the beam, the door stops and reverses to the fully open position. LED indicator lights on the powerhead and on the STBs provide self-diagnostics in the event of an operational problem. Safe-T-Beam® monitored by Door Detect™ Monitoring System to ensure it is functioning properly and that a closing door will automatically stop/reverse if a problem is detected. Safe-T-Reverse® Contact Reversing System automatically stops and reverses the closing door within two seconds of contact with an object. In the event of a power failure or other emergency, the Manual Emergency Release will manually release the door from the door opener to allow manual opening and closing of the door. Remote controls come pre-programmed from the factory. No additional steps are required to activate the door using the remote.
Easily set limits and program new remotes with SmartSet™ Electronic Programming. Wall console to operate the door opener from inside the garage. Features an indicator light with Open/Close, Sure-Lock™, and independent light control buttons. Double Bulb automatic lighting system (60-Watt max) supplies light for safer evening exits and entries. Turn ON when the door is activated and automatically turns OFF 4 minutes later. Genie Battery Backup (BBU) is available on some models. Provides power to the opener in the event of a power failure. PLEASE NOTE: Genie Battery Backup will only operate after operator installation is completed and Travel Limits have been set.
